I’m a version 1 user. Can I upgrade and if so, what are the benefits?
Yes you can upgrade and we offer discounts for version 1 users. Our full

The reasons for upgrading are compelling, as Anquet v06 wasn’t just the
addition of a few new functions to the version 1 software, but a completely
new application based on all the feedback from the original software.
Major reasons for upgrading are:
- Access to new mapping data – even the most recent
version 1 products have mapping dating back to early 2005!
- The Data Explorer, allowing you to keep your routes and waypoints in
folders so that you can better organize your data.
- Pocket Anquet is now a fully functional system including route
plotting and the Anquet Virtual GPS to allow you to navigate your
routes.
- Split screen functionality allows you to view two screens side by
side. Using the SyncScreen functionality, the two maps can move
together letting your view different map types of the same area.
- The MapManager allows you to draw
out areas of mapping inside the Anquet system, see a price for the data,
pay and download the mapping
straight away.
- More map data is now available via our download system. Whilst you
can choose from full Great Britain coverage of OS 1:25,000 Explorer and
OS 1:50,000 Landranger, we also have A-Z street atlases, 1m aerial
photography and all of Harvey’s map data on our servers, making this
selection of mapping larger than we have ever produced on disc.
- Support for new GPS units. A number of modern GPS units are
unfortunately not supported by the version 1 software.
