The following information applies only to Anquet Maps v06
PC
System requirements
- Operating systems: Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Home, Windows 2000
- Memory - minimum 512Mb, but 1GB or more is recommended.
- To run the Anquet Maps Virtual Landscape, you will need a DirectX 9 compatible graphics card. DirectX is a Microsoft graphics library, which is supported by just about all new graphics cards.
- Disk space - to install the whole of Great Britain at 1:50,000 scale will require approximately 3.5GB of disk space. To install one of our regional 1:50,000 products it will require approximately 600Mb.
Pocket PC (PPC)
System requirements
- Pocket Anquet for PPC runs on any PPC with - Windows Mobile for Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile 5.0 for PocketPC or Windows Mobile 6.0 for PocketPC
- Occasionally manufacturers will change hardware components / firmware inside a device but keep the same model name and code. We recommend you test the anquet maps software with your device for free using our download

Memory Cards and Pocket Anquet
To keep a usable amount of mapping on your mobile device, you will certainly need a memory card. These range in size from 128Mb up to 2GB for Mini SD, and larger still if your device used the Compact Flash standard. 512Mb is ample for getting a large amount of mapping available - The whole of the Lake District at 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 could be put onto a 512Mb card with room to spare. Map files on your mobile device are exactly the same size as on your PC. If you installed to the default location, take a look in c:\Anquet Map Data to see the size of your mapping files.

Version 06 of Anquet uses completely in-house code for our GPS functionality, allowing us much more control over device support and speed of response to new units.

Your Hardware
With the proliferation of Pocket PC's, Smartphones and GPS units it is very hard for us to test on every possible combination of hardware. If you are in doubt about your hardware, then please obtain the demo either by download or by requesting a demo CD. The demo software is identical to our product, so if it runs on your hardware, so will our products.
We would like to compile a larger list of compatible hardware, so if you are using a certain model of phone, PPC or GPS, if you could let us know at HardwarecheckMYHardware@Anquet.co.uk then we will compile a list of devices which are known to be compatible to help other Anquet users.
